Braising steak is a low-cost option that when slow cooked is extremely tender and full of taste. Our steaks will typically be cut from the chuck, skirt, leg or flank of the finest British livestock breeds raised in the Scottish countryside.

Storage and handling

Fridge: Place it in the fridge as soon as you receive your delivery. Place it in the coldest part of the fridge.

Freezer: Freeze as soon as you get your delivery. Defrost completely before cooking. It can be kept for up to four months.

Cooks tips

Meat No Veg braising steak has good fat marbling and is suitable for a whole range of cooking purposes especially stews, casseroles, pies and even slow cooked curries. It's best cooked using heavy based pots and saucepans on a hob or in a flameproof casserole dish in the oven. Slow cooking allows the meat to become mouth wateringly tasty and extremely tender, falling off the fork.
