Meat No Veg beef rump steaks are tender, full in flavour and are sourced from some of the world's best grass and corn fed free-ranging British breed livestock herds here in Scotland. The steaks have a top layer of fat and are finely marbled to give a rich taste.

Storage and handling

Fridge: Place it in the fridge as soon as you receive your delivery. Place it in the coldest part of the fridge.

Freezer: Freeze as soon as you get your delivery. Defrost completely before cooking. It can be kept for up to four months.

Cooks tips

They are ideal for everyday eating and are best fried, grilled or barbecued. Rump steak is excellent when served in the traditional way with mushrooms, grilled tomato, thick cut chips or French fries accompanied by a peppercorn, Dianne, chasseur or Bernaise sauce - perhaps with a side salad. They are also ideal for steak and kidney pies or a delicious beef stroganoff prepared using button mushrooms, onions, garlic, brandy and cream and serve with boiled white rice.
