BEEF SIRLOIN STEAKS - cut from the loin

Calculated at checkout

Scottish beef, British cattle breeds, hung for 28 days, individual steaks approx. 226g (8oz) and 283g (10oz)

The sirloin, along with the fillet, is cut from the loin and similarly is low in calories and fat content but rich in iron. All of our sirloin steaks are cut from contented grass and corn fed herds that have been allowed to roam freely in the Scottish countryside. Our sirloins have been aged on the bone for 28 days to give a well-marbled quality with a slight covering of fat on the outside to enhance the excellent full mellow flavour and superb tenderness.

Cooks tips

For best results, sirloin steaks can be cooked on a hot, pre-heated grill or barbeque or be pan fried using a heavy or ribbed pan. An alternative way to cook your sirloin steaks is to marinate them in balsamic vinegar, teriyaki sauce, lemon-herb, Worcestershire sauce, barbeque sauce or other marinade and leave in the fridge overnight. Sirloin steak is an excellent choice of cut to use in Oriental stir fry dishes.
