Calculated at checkout

Raised in natural conditions in the UK, hung for best flavour

Beautifully prepared by our skilled master game butchers in elegant individual portions, Meat No Veg wild rabbit is trimmed of any excess fat and is oven ready. Our rabbits are hand-sourced from ecologically sustained areas of the English countryside where they have been raised in a natural environment. Now, you too can buy rabbit meat online and enjoy wild rabbit at its best.

As a leaner and tastier alternative to farm reared animals, our rabbit has been hung to guarantee exceptional tenderness. Wild rabbit meat has a higher protein content than beef or chicken, is lower in calories and it is a concentrated source of iron.

Storage and handling

Fridge: Store in the coldest part of the fridge, making sure the rabbit doesn’t come into contact with anything. Consume within 2 days.

Freezer: Freeze well wrapped and airtight. The rabbit will keep for up to 3 months. Defrost thoroughly before cooking.

Cooks tips

Wild rabbit can be cooked in a variety of ways and is excellent in stews, casseroles, pies and goulashes. Although the meat tends to be dryer, rabbit can be used in many dishes as an alternative to chicken. An extremely versatile meat, it is traditionally served in Italy with tomatoes and herbs; in France in cream or mustard based sauces; and with chilli in South America.

Our delicious and fresh wild rabbit works brilliantly with strong and distinct flavours such as tomatoes, winter vegetables, spices and potatoes. Why not try cooking it as a fabulous winter stew, replete with coarse flour dumplings, onions and barley. Alternatively, it works wonderfully well with a light and buttery pastry in a fabulous rabbit pie. Our master butchers encourage you to buy rabbit meat online today and get a great taste experience.
