Duck with Diced Plum, Soy & Honey Recipe

Ingredients


• 100g/3½oz duck breast, skin scored
• Plum sauce
• 1 tbsp sesame oil
• 2 tbsp soy sauce
• 2 tbsp honey
• Chilli sauce, to taste


How to prepare

1.    Preheat your oven to 200C/400F/Gas 6.

2.    Put the duck breast, skin-side down, into a cold ovenproof frying pan, and heat it over a medium heat for about 6 to 8 minutes.

3.    Turn over the duck breast and then add the rest of the ingredients, apart from the plum.

4.    Fry the duck for a further 3 to 4 minutes, before transferring the pan to the oven and roasting for about 5 to 6 minutes or until the duck is cooked through. Remove the duck from the pan and set aside. Also set aside the pan juices.

5.    To serve, carve the duck breast into thick slices, and place these onto a serving plate. Then drizzle the pan juices over the duck. Garnish with the chopped plum.
